Battery Testing

We use M360, an industry-leading tool that runs a comprehensive battery drain test. This test simulates real-world usage conditions, allowing us to assess how long the battery lasts under various loads.

M360 also provides detailed information about the battery’s charge cycles, capacity, and overall health status. If a battery shows any signs of significant degradation, we immediately replace it to ensure it performs at its best.

Strict Replacement Policy

If a battery doesn’t meet at least 83% capacity for our standard range or 85% capacity for our certified range, we replace it with a new one. For our certified devices, this means a genuine manufacturer replacement battery.

For our refurbished devices, we always aim to use original parts where possible. However, since this isn't always an option, we use the best available quality on the market. Rest assured, we’ve done extensive research to ensure the highest standards are met for your device.

For refurbished iPhones, an aftermarket battery may trigger a message in settings, depending on the model, but does not affect usage.

Charging Efficiency Testing

In addition to battery health, we ensure that the phone charges efficiently and safely. We run tests on the charging port, charging speed, and thermal stability to guarantee your phone charges quickly without overheating.

What does the “Unable to Verify Genuine Battery” notification mean?

Apple has a bit of a track record when it comes to discouraging the use of non-Apple components. This notification is one of their ways to nudge customers towards using only Apple’s own parts—whether it’s batteries, chargers, or other accessories. It’s often seen as a tactic to steer people away from more affordable, high-quality alternatives that can work just as well.

Are non-genuine parts just as good?

Absolutely! Don’t be misled into thinking that “non-genuine” means inferior. Many premium aftermarket parts are rigorously tested to ensure they perform on par with, or even exceed, the quality of original components. At [Your Business Name], we’ve spent significant time sourcing the best parts to guarantee excellent performance and longevity. Just because it doesn’t have an Apple logo doesn’t mean it’s not up to the job!

What is “battery capacity”?

Battery capacity refers to the amount of energy a battery can store, and it’s one of the main indicators of a battery’s health. A battery’s lifespan is measured in charge cycles - one cycle is a full discharge from 0% to 100%. To extend your battery’s lifespan, it’s best to avoid fully discharging or fully charging your phone too often. Instead, try to keep the charge level close to 50% when possible and unplug your phone before it hits 100%. This helps reduce the number of cycles your battery goes through, allowing it to last longer.

The ideal range for your battery charge is between 20% and 80%. Many smartphones now include optimised charging features that slow down charging once the battery reaches 80% to protect its health over time.

There are other things you can do to maintain your battery’s health as well. For example, fast chargers, while convenient, can accelerate the natural wear on your battery due to the intense charge they deliver. It’s also crucial to keep your phone cool, as high temperatures can cause significant damage to the battery and shorten its lifespan.
